  1. Hi All I’m a landscaper and have been using my UMM pickup but sadly it has to be sold no tax or mot………..does anyone know where would be best to advertise it please? Thanks Sean.

  2. Try giving country vehicles a call, they may still have a few parts. If not the administrator to this site may have some spares available?

Regarding your radiator – don’t throw yours away! Get it recored at a specialist – this will probably be around 150. When you come to replace the clutch it is much easier to drop the gearbox out than remove the engine.

Join the club – its only 8 quid! You’ll get access to lots of technical info in the old (scans on this site) club magazines!

  3. Hi anyone know how best to insure an umm, as a 4×4 or as a car or van or even ambulance?[please thanks dan

    • check in the forum…. the best lot i found was the NFU… National Farmers Union insuance … they are used to insuring odd-ball vehicles

  4. Hi, I’ve recently undertaken my first restoration project. I’ve purchased an umm alter 2 normally aspirated commercial.I have a mechanic lined up to do most of the work for me but I’m going to carry out whatever I can myself. I’m only getting it washed down an lifted tomorrow to have a good look at it but I know from the previous owner I need a new clutch, head gasket, rear springs, radiator perhaps, head lining, floor lining. Do you know where I might get these parts?

I’m from Wicklow, Ireland. I’d like to restore this to a high standard and have been looking at Portuguese forums but with the translation a lot is lost. Any info or advice would be very much appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    George
